This rich and super-smooth chestnut puree is made from Ardèche (French) grown chestnuts which have been carefully selected and sorted.
The nuts are pre-steamed and then peeled. The nuts are then blended into a puree which is only mixed with a little water to obtain a homogeneous creamy texture. The canning process enables the puree to be stored in the cupboard so it’s always on hand and ready when needed.
Chestnut puree complements is delicious as an accompaniment game, poultry and other white meats as well as lending itself to a myriad of sweet chestnut recipes. Being unsweetened means you can control the level of sweetness in any recipe. So versatile.
